The Official Announcement: We’re Having a Baby!
All the rumors are true. Nyki is officially 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and we’ve finally decided to tell everyone. Ultrasound pictures are here. No, we don’t know what it is, yet. Yes, we are intending on finding out prior to its birth. Due date is approximately 4 February 2009. Wanna know more? Follow the link below…

Polar Plunge 2007 for Special Olympics Kentucky
Well, it’s that time of year again. I’m participating in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge on February 24, 2007 (my birthday). It’s going to be down at Joe’s Crab Shack, just like it has been the last few years. I’ve set my fundraising goal to be $600 for this year again. Donations were slow last year, so I’m hoping people will find a little extra pocket change to throw at it this year. If you want to donate, go here and give what you can. Remember, this is for the Special Olympics and if you donate through the website, I believe that the donation comes out immediately so you can claim it on your 2006 taxes.

New Nephew!!!
Well, it’s official. Nyki and I are an aunt and an uncle. We are pleased to announce the birth of Joseph Krystopher to Bobby and Amanda Schwinn on 21 Sep 2006. He was 6lbs 4oz and 17″ long. We were able to head down Thursday morning to see everyone, but didn’t make it down for the birth (we were driving through Lexington at the time).
Fortunately, it seems everyone is healthy, so we’re really happy that everything went well. Congratulations to Bobby and Amanda!

The Official Wedding/Reception Pictures Are Up!
Well, it’s official. We’ve seen the pictures. Nyki received a phone message from Greg Mattingly of RUGettingMarried telling us that he’s posted the pictures online. We are really happy with the pictures. In fact, Nyki has already gone through them twice at this point, I think. Greg told us that we are “the record holders for the most pictures [he has] ever taken at a single wedding.” Just so you know, there are 603 pictures.

Honeymoon Pictures are Up!
At the request of my lovely wife, we’ve posted the pictures of the honeymoon in the Photo Gallery. Feel free to peruse (there’s nothing objectionable in the pictures except a few of me in a pool without a shirt on). I’ve asked Nyki to try to finish fixing pictures and post some information about most (if not all) of the pictures.
Yes, I know we’ve not posted anything about the honeymoon since we got back. Sorry. I’m a slacker. Most of you should know this by now. I’m going to try to put something together tonight, unless we go to see Momma Ewen (friend of the family) in the hospital.

Website Outage and Very Small Honeymoon Update
Apparently LG&E decided we didn’t need to have power for a few minutes last week. The problem with that is that the webserver isn’t set up to come up after a power outage (and I need a new UPS to keep it running, anyway). Sorry for the lack of updates as promised, but I’m guessing that power was lost around 23:08 EDT on Tuesday, June 13 (that’s what I can pick out from the logs).
The Honeymoon was wonderful. I’ll postdate all the blog entries when I get them entered tomorrow so it looks like we actually entered them properly. However, since we’ve been up since 2:00a this morning, we’re tired and going to bed. Sorry for the non-update, but I hope you all understand. Have a good night!

Honeymoon Day 1: We’ve Arrived
“We’ve arrived.” There’s a double entrendre involved there. Obviously, we’ve safely arrived at the Aventura Spa Palace in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico. You all should see this place. It’s amazing. Hence the other meaning… We’re not coming home.

Thanks for Coming to the Wedding!
Since you’ve arrived here, we’re assuming you got the link off the wedding program. We hope you had a good time and will have many happy memories from it. Also, we really appreciate your love and support over the past few months putting this together. Special thanks go out to Joseph and Lucia Price, Rychie Schwinn, Nancy and Louis Smith, and all the countless others who helped us put this together.
Oh, and we promise to put stuff up here at some point, but obviously we’ve not had time. Time to head out to Playa del Carmen. See you in a week!
